Real client work
Most landscapers meet new customers through a van parked outside a neighbour’s house, a board staked into a front lawn, or a Google search on a phone at ten o’clock at night. That is the real test for landscaping logo design in Ireland. The mark has to read on the back doors of a Transit, on a fleece pocket stitched in one thread colour, and as a tiny circle beside your reviews. Pretty matters less than legible. We draw every landscaping logo from scratch in our Dublin studio for garden designers, grounds maintenance crews, paving and patio firms and lawn care businesses around the country.
Getting past the leaf and the lawnmower
Search for a landscaper logo and you will see the same few things over and over: a green leaf, a swoosh of grass, a little tree inside a circle. None of them are wrong, but none of them tell a customer what you actually do, which might be laying granite paving in Malahide or clearing overgrown gardens around Mullingar. When every firm in the county uses a leaf, the leaf stops working as a signal.
A better starting point is the work itself. A firm that builds patios, walls and steps might suit a strong lettered wordmark with a nod to stone coursing or a spirit level line. A garden designer selling planting schemes can carry a finer, more drawn mark and a softer palette. A maintenance company with three vans and contracts for apartment blocks needs something blunt and easy to remember. We look at the jobs you do most, who pays for them, and what the other landscapers near you already look like, then design away from them.
Colour that survives mud, rain and a white van
Green is the obvious choice, and it is also what every other landscaper picked. That does not rule it out, but it means the shade and what sits beside it matter a great deal. A deep forest green with a warm stone colour reads very differently to lime and black. Some of the strongest landscaping identities avoid green altogether and let photographs of finished gardens supply it.
Practical limits shape this too. Your logo will be embroidered on fleeces and softshells that get washed every week, cut in vinyl for van doors, and fixed to a correx board in someone’s garden through an Irish winter. Gradients and hairline detail disappear in thread and vinyl. So every design we develop has a single colour version that holds up on its own, and a reversed version for dark workwear.
Where a landscaping logo wins or loses the job
Homeowners spending real money on a back garden tend to shortlist on what they can see before they ever ring. They notice your van on the road, the board outside a job down the street, your Google Business profile and the photos on your Instagram. Your logo appears on all of these at very different sizes, often right next to competitors in the same search results. A simple shape that still reads as a thumbnail on a phone does a lot of quiet work there.
The paperwork counts as well. A landscaping quote can be a big number, and a clean letterhead and invoice layout makes it look considered rather than scribbled. Once the logo is settled we can carry it onto van livery and site boards, business cards for the crew and quote templates so everything matches.
How the project runs and what you get
You describe the business, the kind of jobs you want more of and the area you cover. We draw a set of concepts from scratch, never from a template, and show them on a van, a fleece and a phone screen so you can judge them in context. You give feedback, we refine the one you choose, and we finalise it together.
You own the finished logo outright. The files include vector formats (SVG, EPS and PDF) for your signwriter and embroiderer, PNG files for the web and social media, and full colour, single colour and reversed versions of each layout.
Tell us about your landscaping business, the counties you work in and where the logo will be used first. Describe it on our graphic design quote page and we will come back to you with an exact price.
Frequently asked questions
Should my landscaping logo be green?
Not necessarily. Green is what most landscapers choose, so on its own it rarely sets you apart. We often pair a less obvious green with a stone or earth colour, or build the identity around a different colour entirely and let photos of your finished gardens bring in the green.
Will the logo work embroidered on fleeces and hi vis jackets?
Yes. Every design has a single colour version without fine detail or gradients, so it can be stitched on workwear and cut cleanly in vinyl. You also get a reversed version for dark garments and black vans.
I already have a logo on my vans. Can you update it instead of starting over?
Yes. If customers already know your name and colours, a careful redesign can keep that recognition while fixing what does not work, such as lettering that cannot be read from across the road. We look at what you have and suggest which route makes sense.
How much does a landscaping logo cost?
It depends on scope: the number of concepts, if you need van livery or stationery alongside it, and how much refinement you want. Describe your business and what you need and we will give you an exact price.
