Animated training videos that can be updated
Training content has a short shelf life. Systems change, policies are revised, and the person who presented the induction video leaves. A filmed training video then needs a reshoot. An animated one needs a few scenes redrawn. That is the main reason organisations come to us for animated training videos and elearning content, and it is a good one.
We make training, induction and elearning animation in our Dublin studio for universities, public bodies and businesses across Ireland. You can watch examples further down this page.
Induction and onboarding videos
For University College Dublin we made a student induction video. Induction is a natural fit for animation: the same information has to reach hundreds or thousands of new people every year, it has to be friendly rather than bureaucratic, and parts of it change annually while most stays the same.
The same applies to staff onboarding. A short animated film covering who you are, how things work and where to find help gives every new starter the same introduction, whichever manager they report to.
Elearning animation for courses
Inside a course, short beats long. We usually recommend a series of modules a few minutes each rather than one long film. Learners can stop and come back, each video sits next to the lesson it supports, and when one topic changes only that module needs updating.
The HSE Psychology First series was built this way, one topic per film, and it is a useful model for any training series. For processes the learner has to follow step by step, whiteboard explainer videos work particularly well. For software and systems training, we combine screen recordings with animated callouts that point to exactly what to click.
Working with academic and training teams
The University of Limerick recruitment film taught us something useful about education projects: several people review the same film, at different times, and their notes do not always agree. We ask for feedback consolidated into one document with timestamps, which turns a messy round of emails into one clear set of changes.
That project was also awarded on compared quotes, with UL setting us up as an approved supplier and issuing a purchase order before work began. If your organisation buys through procurement, we already know how that works.
Formats, subtitles and languages
We deliver standard MP4 files that upload to any learning platform, with subtitle files supplied separately or burned in. We can produce versions in other languages with translated subtitles, native voiceover or fully rebuilt on screen text. Narration runs at about 130 words a minute, so we can tell you the length of each module from the script before anything is animated.
Pricing animated training video
We price from the final script word count, so a series of modules is quoted module by module and you can see exactly what each one costs. Send us the course outline or the scripts and we will come back with a price and a schedule.

Frequently asked questions
Why animate training videos instead of filming them?
Animation is easier to update. When a procedure, a system or a policy changes, we redraw the scenes that are affected instead of reshooting the whole video. It also avoids staff appearing on camera, which can date a video quickly when people move on.
Will the videos work in our learning platform?
We deliver standard MP4 video files, which upload to Moodle, Brightspace, Blackboard, Teams, SharePoint and most other platforms without conversion. Subtitle files can be supplied separately so learners can switch them on.
Can you make a series of short videos instead of one long one?
Yes, and for training it is usually better. Short modules of a few minutes each are easier to watch, easier to place inside a course and easier to update individually. The HSE series we made was built this way, one topic per film.
How do you handle feedback from several reviewers?
We ask for comments consolidated into one document per round, with timestamps. When several academics or managers review separately their notes often contradict each other, and consolidating them first turns five rounds into one.
Can training videos be produced in other languages?
Yes. We can add translated subtitles, record native voiceovers, or rebuild on screen text in another language. Each is quoted separately so you only pay for what you need.

It was great working with Kieran. He quickly understood exactly what I was looking for.
