For a trade business, a van is the most seen piece of marketing you own. It sits outside jobs, in traffic and in car parks, in front of exactly the people who might need you, for years.
That means it has to be read at speed, from an angle, in poor light, by someone not looking for you. Which rules out most of what looks good on a screen.
Designed for the panel it goes on
Vehicle graphics are laid out on the real shape of the vehicle. Door seams, handles, wheel arches, window lines and body curves all cut through artwork, and a design made on a blank rectangle will land badly across every one of them.
We work to your specific model so the layout sits in the panels it has, with the name in the place it can actually be read and the detail kept off the parts that get interrupted.
Built the way a signwriter works
Most vehicle graphics and shopfront signs are produced as cut vinyl. That means solid shapes and clean outlines, not gradients and drop shadows. So we design in single colour first and add colour after, which is also the test of whether the mark is strong enough.
You get vector artwork with fonts outlined and colours specified, in the formats your fitter will ask for. We talk to them directly about material and finish where that helps.

Frequently asked questions
What files does a signwriter need?
Vector artwork, usually EPS, AI or PDF, with fonts outlined and colours specified. A JPG or PNG cannot be cut as vinyl or scaled to a shopfront, which is why signwriters ask for the original files.
How much does vehicle livery design cost?
Priced per vehicle, and less per vehicle across a fleet since the layout is designed once and adapted. Quoted on scope once we know the vehicle and how much of it you want covered.
Can you design for a specific van model?
Yes. Livery is laid out on the actual panel shape of your vehicle, because doors, handles, wheel arches and window lines all interrupt the design. A layout made for a generic van rarely survives contact with a real one.
Do you handle the fitting?
No, we supply the artwork and work directly with your signwriter or wrapper on specification. We can recommend fitters if you do not already have one.
What about shopfront and site signage?
Shopfront fascias, hoarding and site boards, wayfinding, door and window vinyl, and safety signage designed to sit with the rest of your brand rather than being ordered piecemeal.
Will the design work at night?
It is checked for it. Contrast that holds under street lighting, and artwork prepared for illuminated or halo lit signs where that is what you are having made.
