Every logo in the gallery above was drawn for an actual client: trades and family businesses, cafés and salons, schools and clubs, charities and public bodies. What to look for when you browse

Rather than asking if you like a particular logo, look at how each one fits its business. A plumber’s mark is built to read from across a road on a van door. A café logo is shaped to sit on a cup and a small round app icon. A school crest has to work embroidered on a jumper as well as large on a sign. Range like that is what you want from a logo designer: a studio that changes its approach for each client rather than putting a house style on everyone.

You will also notice plenty of simple wordmarks with no symbol at all. That is deliberate. For a lot of businesses the name is the brand, and a confident, well drawn name does more work than an icon nobody remembers.
