Best AI Logo Generators: What They Actually Give You

The best AI logo generator for a business that needs vector files is Brandmark, because its Basic package at $35 is the cheapest route to PNG and vector artwork from a true generator. Looka is the better buy if you want a full brand kit rather than a logo on its own. Almost all of these tools let you generate for nothing and charge at the download step, and none of them solve the ownership problem set out further down this page.

1. Brandmark

Brandmark is the cheapest way to get a real vector file out of an AI logo generator.

You can generate unlimited logos for nothing and without an account. Paying unlocks the files. Basic is $35 and includes PNG and vector, Designer is $95 and adds source files, brand guidelines and a set of matching templates, and Enterprise is $195.

Worst at: nothing is downloadable until you pay, so the free stage is a shop window, and the $35 entry point is higher than the entry tier at Looka or Wix even though it is better value.

2. Looka

Looka is the strongest option when you want a whole brand kit rather than a logo on its own.

Basic is $20 and gives you a single PNG. Premium is $65 and is the first tier with SVG, EPS and PDF, transparent backgrounds and full ownership. The brand kit subscription sits above that at $96 a year and adds several hundred templates for social posts, business cards, letterheads and invoices.

Worst at: $65 for vector artwork is nearly double Brandmark, and Looka logos share a recognisable house style that becomes obvious once you have seen a few.

3. LogoAI

LogoAI is worth a look because its brand kit exports SVG, PNG and PDF rather than raster alone.

It is free to start and it will generate a large spread of concepts from your business name and industry, which makes it useful early on when you are still deciding what the mark should feel like.

Worst at: the pricing is not shown up front, so you only discover what your files cost after you are several steps into the flow. Budget for it rather than assuming.

4. Canva

Canva is not really an AI logo generator and it is still one of the most useful tools here.

The free plan exports PNG, JPG and PDF, and the AI features carry a monthly allowance of up to 200 standard uses or up to 20 premium uses. The same artwork flows straight into everything else you need to make.

Worst at: it does not generate a logo from your business name at all. You browse templates and change them yourself. SVG also sits behind Canva Pro, so the free files are the ones a sign maker will hand back.

5. Adobe Express

Adobe Express has the best typography on this list and the worst file formats.

Free downloads cover PNG, JPG and PDF, and the font library beats every icon led generator here, which matters because a wordmark set in the right typeface usually outperforms a generated symbol.

Worst at: Adobe Express has never offered SVG export on any plan, free or paid. A logo made here always needs converting before it scales cleanly.

6. Wix Logo Maker

Wix Logo Maker earns its place only if the site it sits on is going to be a Wix site.

It does generate from your business name, designing is free, and the charge lands at download. Basic is $20 and Advanced at $50 is the tier where the SVG appears.

Worst at: nothing usable comes out without paying, and outside the Wix ecosystem there is no reason to choose it over Brandmark at $35.

7. Midjourney, DALL E and Ideogram

General image models produce the most original looking marks here and the least usable files.

They will give you something nobody else has, which none of the template driven generators can claim, and Ideogram in particular handles lettering better than the others.

Worst at: they output raster images, never vector, so the result cannot be scaled, recoloured cleanly or handed to a sign maker. Lettering is still frequently wrong. Treat these as a way to explore an idea, not as a way to produce a logo.

The ownership problem with AI logos

A logo generated entirely by AI may not be yours to own in the way you assume. The United States Copyright Office set out in its 2025 report that works wholly generated by artificial intelligence are not copyrightable, and that choosing prompts, however detailed, is not by itself enough human authorship to earn protection. Anyone registering a work made with these tools has to identify and disclaim the AI generated parts.

That is the position in the United States rather than in Ireland, and it does not stop you using a generated logo. It does mean the thing you are relying on to identify your business may sit outside copyright, which is a strange foundation for a brand. Trade mark protection is a separate question again and depends on the mark being distinctive, which assembled and generated marks rarely are.

Éire Graphic Design is a studio in Dublin, Ireland, rated 4.9 from 103 Google reviews, and our logo design work is drawn by a person, so authorship is never in doubt. We work nationally, including graphic design in Cork.

Questions people ask

Which AI logo generator gives you vector files cheapest?

Brandmark, at $35 for its Basic package, which includes PNG and vector. Looka charges $65 for the equivalent, Wix Logo Maker charges $50, and Adobe Express does not offer vector output at any price.

Can you trademark a logo made by an AI generator?

It is harder than it sounds. Trade mark protection depends on the mark being distinctive, and generated marks are assembled from the same pools of shapes and typefaces that every other user of the tool is drawing on.

Do AI logo generators actually design anything?

Some do and some do not. Brandmark, Looka, LogoAI and Wix Logo Maker generate options from your business name and industry. Canva and Adobe Express do not, you pick a template and change it yourself.

Is an AI logo good enough to launch with?

For testing an idea, yes. For a business that will put the mark on signage, vehicles or packaging, the limits show quickly: no vector file on several of these tools, a shared house style on others, and an ownership position that is unresolved.
