Why this page exists

We sell graphic design, and we also write articles about graphic design. Those two things pull against each other. Every piece of advice here comes from a business that would like you to hire it, and pretending otherwise would be the least trustworthy thing we could do.

So rather than claim to be neutral, this page sets out exactly where our interests lie and what we do to stop them bending what we publish.

Nothing here is paid for

No article, mention, ranking or recommendation on this site has ever been paid for. We do not run sponsored posts, advertorials or paid guest articles, and we do not accept payment to include a company in a list or to describe one in a particular way.

There are no affiliate links, no referral codes and no tracked outbound links. If we point you at a printer, a tool or a platform, we earn nothing whether you use it or not.

Where our bias is

We are a logo and graphic design studio in Dublin. That means:

We benefit when you commission design work, so treat any article of ours that concludes “you should get this professionally designed” with that in mind.

We compete with other Irish design studios and with template and AI logo tools. Where we write about them we try to be accurate and fair, but we are not a disinterested party and we will not pretend to be.

We have commercial relationships with some of the organisations named on this site, because they are clients. Client work is only ever shown as our own portfolio, never presented as an independent endorsement of anything.

How we try to counter it

We stick to what is checkable. Prices, turnarounds, file formats and processes described here are how we actually work, not aspirations.

We test what we write about. Where we assess a tool or a competitor’s offering, we look at it ourselves at the time of writing rather than repeating what other articles say.

We give the honest answer even when it costs us the job. Telling someone their current logo is fine, or that a cheaper route suits them, loses work in the short term and is the only way any of this is worth reading.

We do not attack competitors by name to make ourselves look better. Where we criticise an approach, it is the approach we name.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us at info@graphicdesigneire.ie and we will fix it. Material corrections are noted on the article rather than made quietly, and the updated date at the top of every piece reflects the last time it changed.

How articles are produced, including where AI is used

AI is used for some content creation on this site. We would rather say that plainly than let you assume otherwise.

What it does not change is who is responsible. Nothing is published on the strength of a draft alone. Every article is read, checked and signed off by Kieran Fallon, who runs the studio, before it goes live and again whenever it is updated. Claims about pricing, turnaround, file formats and process are checked against how the studio actually works, and anything that cannot be stood over is cut.

The opinions here are the studio’s own. Where an article recommends an approach, rejects one, or tells you not to spend money, that is a judgement made by a working designer and not something generated and left unread.

See our editorial policy for how pieces are researched, reviewed and updated.
