Real client work
Most barbershops in Ireland get found in one of two ways: someone walks past the window, or someone scrolls past a fresh fade on Instagram and taps through to book. Barbershop logo design has to serve both. It needs to read clearly on glass and a fascia sign from across the road, and it needs to hold up when it is cropped into a small circle on Booksy or Fresha. We are a design studio in Smithfield, Dublin, and we design barber logos for shops all over the country, each one drawn from scratch.
The window, the fascia and the pole
Your shopfront is your biggest ad. Window vinyl is usually cut in one colour, often white or gold, so the logo has to work as a single flat shape with no gradients or soft shadows. Fine details that look sharp on a screen tend to fill in when they are cut from vinyl at window size, so we keep line weights sensible and test the mark at the real scale it will be applied.
The fascia above the door is read from further away and often lit. A strong name in confident lettering usually does more here than an intricate emblem. If you have a pole outside, the logo should sit comfortably beside it rather than compete with it. Our shop signage design uses the same artwork so the window, fascia and any projecting sign all match.
A barber logo that is not another pole and razor
Crossed razors, a pole, a skull with a moustache, a vintage badge with “Est.” underneath: you will see all of these on any high street. They are not wrong, but they make it hard for a client to remember which shop was yours. A better starting point is something only you have. That could be the name of the shop and how it sounds, the area you are in, the kind of cuts you specialise in, or the atmosphere inside, whether that is a quiet traditional shop or a loud one with music and a queue out the door.
Lettering does most of the work in a good barber logo. A heavy slab serif, a hand drawn script or a tight sans serif monogram all say different things before anyone reads a word. We show you several directions so you can see the difference rather than guess at it.
Booksy, Fresha and your Instagram grid
Booking apps and Instagram both show your logo as a small circle. A wide wordmark shrinks to nothing in that space, so we design a compact badge or monogram for it. That same compact mark works as a watermark on photos of your cuts and as a stamp on appointment cards. If you post a lot, matching social media graphics for price lists, opening hours and offers keep your grid consistent.
Capes, aprons and product labels
Capes and aprons are usually embroidered or heat transferred, and both need clean single colour artwork. If you sell your own pomade, beard oil or shampoo, the logo also has to sit on a small label and a tub lid. Every logo we deliver comes as vector SVG, EPS and PDF files plus PNGs, in colour, single colour and reversed, and you own them outright. You see concepts first, then refine the chosen one with your feedback. More detail on our process is on the logo design page.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a barber pole or scissors in my barbershop logo?
No. They can work if they are drawn in a way that belongs to you, but most shops already use them. Your name, your street or the style of cuts you are known for often makes a stronger and more recognisable mark.
Will the logo fit the round profile picture on Booksy, Fresha and Instagram?
Yes. We design a compact badge or monogram version specifically for small circular spaces, so your profile is recognisable when clients search for you or scroll past your work.
How much does a barbershop logo cost?
It depends on what you need. A logo alone is priced differently to a logo with signage, product labels and social graphics. Describe your shop and what the logo needs to go on, and we will send an exact price.
Can the logo go on capes, aprons and hoodies?
It can. Every logo comes with a single colour version suitable for embroidery, heat transfer and vinyl, so it reproduces cleanly on fabric without losing detail.
