What you are actually buying

A logo is the one piece of design your customer has to recognise at speed. On a van going past at forty miles an hour. At the size of a profile picture. Stitched into a polo shirt in one colour. If it only works large and in full colour, it is not finished.

Everything we draw is made for those conditions first. We design in black before we design in colour, because a mark that survives being stripped back is a mark that survives everywhere else.

How we work

You get several directions rather than one idea presented as a done deal, because the useful conversation happens when you have something to react against. From there we refine. Revisions are part of the job and not an extra line on the invoice.

We tell you what we think. If a direction is not working we will say so, and if the logo you already have is worth keeping we will say that too, even though a redesign would earn us more.

What you get at the end

Vector artwork as the master file, so the logo can be scaled to any size without falling apart. Versions for light and dark backgrounds. A single colour version for stamps, signage and embroidery. PNGs for screen and print ready PDFs for anyone producing your material.

Every typeface we use is licensed for commercial use. That sounds like a small thing until somebody discovers years later that the font in their logo was never licensed for it.
