Stacked Logo

A stacked logo is a vertical arrangement of logo elements, with the symbol or icon above the wordmark, and the wordmark above the tagline if one is present. The stacked lockup is one of the most common alternative logo configurations and is particularly useful for applications where height is available but width is limited, such as square social media profile images, circular badges, product labels, and some types of signage. The stacked arrangement tends to create a more compact, unified feel than a horizontal lockup, and can give a logo a strong centred presence that works well in contained spaces. Designing a stacked lockup requires attention to the relative proportions of the icon and wordmark at the stacked scale, and to the spacing between elements, which must feel balanced and intentional.
