Reversed Logo
A reversed logo is a version of the logo designed specifically for use on dark or coloured backgrounds. The standard version of a logo is typically designed for a white or light background. When placed directly on a dark background without modification, the same logo can lose contrast, look washed out, or have fine details that disappear into the background. A reversed logo addresses this by inverting the colour relationships — typically presenting the logo in white or a light colour against the dark background. In some cases, the reversed version may require slight adjustments beyond simply changing colour: fine lines may need to be thickened to maintain visibility, tight spacing may need to be slightly opened, and delicate details may need to be simplified. Brand guidelines specify the approved reversed version and the background conditions under which it should be used.
